Question by : Is spyware doctor a real program or it another malware?
I have been infected with “Internet Security 2010″ I am convinced it is laughing at me. i downloaded “spyware doctor” to try and get rid of it because the antimalware doesn’t work. I think the “internet security 2010″ got to it. I can’t use task manager. I can’t delete the program directly in the program files.

??????????????????? Be careful of some of those freebies- I’ve had some problems with some of them, also
Apparently it’s God, since this was posted in the Religion & Spirituality section.
I’ve heard of a similarly named product being a malware gateway. I trust Malwarebytes and Superantispyware. Download them on another system, put them on a USB memory stick, and then install and run them on the affected system.
It is Malware. My mom had a program almost exactly like this one. First, if you are on a network of computers, disconnect from the internet to prevent spreading. Secondly, when your computer first boots, IMMEDIATELY open start –> run –> type in MSCONFIG. Go to the startup tab and uncheck everything except stuff that you know what it is, and explorer.exe if present. Hit ok and restart the computer. Once your computer reboots it should not run. You can now do a full computer cleanup, registry cleanup, etc. Open ctrl+alt+del task manager and click the processes tab. Terminate any unfamiliar processes.

Spyware doctor is not malware it is only a scanner that can determine if and how much is infected your computer with internet security 2010.The bad thing is that it can’t remove the malware because it asks you to buy it in order to remove so you can use the removal I’ve posted to your previous question .A little bit about spyware doctor:Features
Spyware Doctor scans a PC for spyware, examining files on the hard drive, objects in memory, the Windows registry and cookies, and then attempts to quarantine or remove recognized threats. It also includes real-time protection which attempts to block threats from being saved to the disk, set to startup automatically, suspicious programs running and other detection including new toolbars and add-ons for web browsers.[citation needed]
Spyware Doctor is designed for Windows 2000 and XP. Spyware Doctor also supports 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7. [1].It is normally purchased as a yearly subscription which includes new versions and updates, and is available online as well as in retail stores. PC Tools, like other security companies[2] such as McAfee, Symantec and recently Microsoft with OneCare, has now implemented an automatic renewal system whereby customer’s subscriptions are renewed every year automatically until canceled.
Spyware Doctor is not free, but a free scan version is offered, providing real-time protection and scans for spyware. Only the full version is capable of removing spyware (though a user can use the free version to locate where the spyware is and then manually remove the files and registry entries themselves). Spyware often includes both files located on the hard drive and entries in the Windows registry.
Spyware Doctor Starter Edition was included in the Google Pack in March 2007,[3] this version allows scan and removal of threats using an older version of the program, limited real-time protection, but a database with only 60% of the definition files, which does not include some viral threats. Spyware Doctor is not malware. I’m very satisfied with it and i download it from http://www.jordysoft.net/Windows/Antivirus/Spyware-Doctor-62.aspx
spyware doctor is a real antimalware package you can download it as part of the google pack – security viruses are a real pain you need to kill the malwares process then you can download and run something to remove it completely
