Question by hiflo1978: How does cell phone spyware work and how do I remove it if I suspect its there?
My boss is convinced that someone has tapped into his cell phones to try and steal business from him. He seems to think that they are calling him so that they can link into the phone and get his voicemail and listen to his conversations. He also says that if he removes the battery after every call that it will make them lose the tracking. I’d like to know how to detect if there is a tracking device, how it was installed and how we can remove it.

Firstly, if someone had physical access to his phone they could implant a device to monitor what he said and transmit it to them, although this would be limited to the area that the device was capable of transmitting to.
Secondly, and I’m not sure if this one is possible, they may be able to listen in to his conversations if they know the frequency that his phone uses when he makes calls, although for all I know any given phone may use multiple frequencies.
